Elizabeth Hickey is the author of two critically acclaimed novels, The Painted Kiss (Atria 2005) and The Wayward Muse (Atria 2007).
She has lectured at national museums & libraries, held book readings & discussions at book retailers and clubs nationwide, and completed two national radio tours of 50+ interviews each, including KBOO and NPR. In addition, she has worked as a freelance writer, copy editor, proofreader, and web content contributor for a variety of clients.
Born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, Elizabeth received her B.A. in art history from Williams College in Williamstown, MA, and her M.F.A. in creative writing from Columbia University in New York City. She lives with her son in Portland, Oregon.
